A tourist died after bathing at Cox’s Bazar beach

A tourist, Mohammad Saad (25), died while bathing at Cox’s Bazar beach. The incident happened last Saturday, July 1 at half past noon. Eyewitnesses said that Mohammad Saad, who died in the sea, came to Cox’s Bazar with his friends last Saturday morning and went to Morshida Resort in Kalatali. At half past noon on the same day, the Labani market and tourist police office were at the point along the beach. He went down to bathe in the sea and at one point got lost in the pull of the current. Later, the Sea Save Life Guard workers rescued him from the sea and took him to Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The point along the Labani Market and Tourist Police office on the beach was a save zone for bathing. Eyewitnesses alleged that Sea Save Life Guard personnel did not take immediate action to rescue Mohammad Saad. On the other hand, Sea Save Life Guard employee Osman said that Mohammad Saad went down to take a bath at Seagull Point in the restricted zone sea. Sea Save Life Guard workers got information and rescued Mohammad Saad dead from the point near Labni Market and Tourist Police Office. Mohammad Saad is the son of deceased Md Ahsan Ullah of Jatrabari Syedabad, Dhaka. The body of Mohammad Saad has been kept in the mortuary of Cox’s Bazar District Sadar Hospital till the last news.
