An exchange meeting was held in Tangail to prevent theft, extortion, eviction, drug dealers and drug addicts. On Sunday (September 3) afternoon, the people of all levels of the union organized such a meeting at Hat Bypass area of Kartia Union of Tangail Sadar Upazila. Under the chairmanship of Kartia Union Parishad Chairman Khalekuzzaman Chodhuri Majnu, Tangail Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman Shahjahan Anshari was present as the main speaker. Special guests were Tangail Sadar Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Hasan Bin Mohammad Ali, Tangail Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdus Chalam (PPM), Patrail Union Parishad Chairman Ramprasad Sarkar, freedom fighter and former Govt Sa’dat College GS Abdur. Razzak, heroic freedom fighter Abdur Razzak Rana and former EEP member heroic freedom fighter Md. Azahar Sikder. Tangail Sadar Upazila Awami League member Md. Alamgir Sikder conducted the program. In the discussion meeting, the speakers called upon the conscious citizens to come forward along with the administration to eliminate all evils in the society.
