A huge rally was held in Pirojpur under the slogan ‘Yes for change’. The rally was held on Monday (January 19) at the Pirojpur Government Boys High School grounds to motivate the people for the upcoming referendum. Farida Akhtar, Advisor to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, was present as the chief guest at the rally.

In her speech as the chief guest at the rally, Farida Akhtar said, “People’s participation is essential for sustainable change in the country. The common people can reflect their will through a referendum. We want to build a transparent and accountable system where the opinion of every citizen will be important.”

Pirojpur District Administration organized the rally, and Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Abu Sayeed and the Superintendent of Police were present as special guests. Senior army officers responsible for maintaining peace and order were also present.
Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mamunur Rashid and Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Al-Amin were present on behalf of the local administration at the event. In addition, senior officers and employees of various government departments and July The warriors participated in the rally.

The rally turned into a gathering of people from all walks of life in Pirojpur. Local teachers, students, leaders of various political parties and the general public spontaneously participated and supported the slogan ‘Yes for Change’. The speakers said that this successful rally will be a milestone in making the general public aware of the right to vote and the democratic process.
The participants appreciated the initiative and said that this call for change has instilled new hope among the common people of Pirojpur. At the end of the rally, Advisor Farida Akhtar listened to the various problems of the local people and assured them of quick solutions.
