On the night of 16/01/2026, a smart-moving mobilization team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-10) was stopped by a suspected vehicle on the Dhaka-Dampur road, a suspected drive from Dhaka-Dampur, Dhaka-DMP, Dhaka-Dampur-Dampur-Dampur-Damula-Dampur-Damula-Damuk-Dampur-Damukat-Dampur-Dam-Dham-Dha-Dham-Dam-Dampur-Dam-Dampur-Dampur-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dampur-Dama-Dampur-Dam-Dampur-Dampur-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dam-Dhaka-Dhakar-e-Dhavourge Station was stopped at the Fative Filling Station under Jatrabari in Dhaka. Extensive interrogation of the accused Md. Md. Masud Rana revealed that he was carrying yaba tablets in a special manner in his stomach. *The accused Md Masud Rana was taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he was given an X-ray through the on-duty doctor. In the X-ray report, the accused saw something like an object in the belly of Md. Masud Rana. Later, on the 17th/01/2025 of the day, the accused Md. Masud Rana was rescued in a special manner through the application of medicine on duty. *
It is believed that the arrested person is a professional drug dealer. He had been illegally collecting yaba and other drugs from different border areas of the country for quite some time and supplying it to different parts of the country, including the capital Dhaka.
Drug abuse is the worst in society. It is destroying our youth, creating unrest in the family and threatening state security. The RAB firmly believes that peace and development in the society cannot be achieved without the implementation of the “Zero Tolerance” policy to eradicate drugs. The RAB-10 is working with the highest professionalism and sincerity in the drug eradication drive. In the future, RAB’s campaign against drugs, weapons, terrorism and extortion will continue.
