Netrakona Shyamganj Investigation Center conducted the operation as part of the regular operation against drugs by the district police and arrested a youth named Sohel (30) along with 935 pieces of yabas. The arrested Sohel is the son of Kitab Ali of Alampur village of Bairati Union of Upazila.
Wednesday (September 6) around 2 am. A team of Shyamganj Police Investigation Center led by SI Md. Hafizur Rahman arrested him from his native Alampur village of 12 Bairati Union.
Rashedul Islam, in-charge of Shyamganj Police Investigation Center, said that Sohel was arrested during a raid in front of the grocery store of Md. Jahangir Alam of his Alampur village based on secret information. A case has been filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act. Now we will sent him to the court.
Acknowledging the truth of the incident, the media spokesperson of the district police, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Lutfar Rahman said that regular operations against drugs are being conducted under the orders of Superintendent of Police Md. Faiz Ahmed. A drug dealer was arrested along with 935 pieces of yaba from Shyamganj. The operation against drugs by the district police will continue.
