Govind Sheel (45), a laborer, fell from the roof while working on the roof of a house in Rajapur, Jhalkathi. The incident took place on Sunday (September 10) around 5:30 in the afternoon in Dakbungalow area of the upazila. Deceased Gobind Sheel is the son of deceased Manohar Sheel of the city. Police and eyewitnesses said that while working on a roof of a single-storey house in the afternoon, laborer Govind Sheel fell down and sustained serious head and chest injuries. Later he was rescued and taken to Rajapur Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rajapur Police Station Pulak Chandra Roy said that a case of wrongful death (UD) will be filed in Rajapur Police Station in this regard. If the family complains, legal action will be taken later.
