Desk News : The government has simultaneously promoted 179 deputy secretaries to the post of joint secretaries. Out of these, 10 have been promoted to district DCs.
A notification from the Ministry of Public Administration on Thursday said that 172 people have been promoted to the post of joint secretaries. Later, in a separate notification, seven deputy secretaries working in embassies, high commissions and offices of different countries have been promoted to the post of joint secretaries.
The promoted Deputy Commissioners (DCs) are – Md. Nurul Karim Bhuiyan (Gazipur), Abu Saleh Md. Musa Jangi (Chapainawabganj), Kazi Shahidul Islam (Rajshahi), Mohammad Nairuzzaman (Nilphamari), Farida Khanam (Dhaka), Sharifa Haque (Tangail), Tahsidul Islam (Gazipur), Md. Zahidul Islam (Chittagong) and Motakabbir Ahmed (Magura) and Patuakhali DC Mohammad Shahid Hossain Chowdhury.
