Md. Kabir Hossain Bhola: Md. Nazmul Ahsan Jobayed Mia, Chairman of Kutuba Union Parishad of Borhanuddin Upazila of Bhola, held a press conference, claiming that various allegations spread against him on social media are false, baseless and motivated.
The press conference was organized by the Kutuba Union Chairman at his own office on Tuesday (July 7) at 12 noon. He read out a written statement at the time.
In his written statement, he said that the allegations spread against him on social media are completely false, fabricated and defamatory. He claimed that an attempt is being made to tarnish his person, family and long-standing social reputation through these propaganda.
He said that he has been serving the people with honesty, dedication and responsibility as a public representative for a long time. If there are any specific allegations against him, he called for an impartial investigation through the concerned authorities.
He also mentioned that if any irregularities are proven in the investigation, he will cooperate in taking action according to the law.
At the press conference, he also said that spreading misleading information on social media without verification is in no way acceptable. It damages the reputation of individuals and organizations and creates confusion in the public mind. He called on journalists and conscious citizens to verify the information and publish news and opinions.
In his written statement, he mentioned that various allegations have been made against him through a news published in an online media outlet. However, he claimed that the information presented in that report is not in line with reality and his statement was not presented properly.
At the end of the press conference, he sought everyone’s cooperation in maintaining social harmony, refraining from rumors and propaganda, and disseminating true and objective information. In addition, he also said that necessary legal action will be taken against those who spread false information with the aim of defaming his reputation and spreading confusion in the public mind.
