Shah Al-Amin Amanat:
Thousands of people flock to the government and private hospitals of Debidwar every day in the hope of treatment. Many return home after recovering, while many others express disappointment, anger and various complaints.
In particular, the Debidwar Upazila Health Complex is providing medical services to an average of about 700-800 patients every day, which undoubtedly deserves praise. I respect the hard work of doctors, nurses and health workers despite limited manpower and facilities.
However, at the same time, some serious complaints are also being raised repeatedly from the general public. Such as:
🔹 Long waiting times and delays in getting services
🔹 Complaints of disrespectful behavior with patients
🔹 Not getting the desired treatment at the required time
🔹 Lack of coordination and mismanagement in management
On the other hand, people also have various complaints about some private hospitals, clinics and diagnostic centers. For example:
❗ Unnecessary tests
❗ Allegations of prescribing overpriced medicines
❗ Lack of transparency in medical expenses
❗ Allegations of fake or unlicensed medical workers in some institutions
The truth of these allegations must be verified through an impartial investigation by the concerned authorities.
We believe that with a little sincerity, humane behavior, accountability, and regular supervision, the healthcare system in Debidwar can be much better.
👉 Request to the Civil Surgeon, Department of Health, Upazila Administration, and the concerned authorities to investigate the complaints of the people seriously.
👉 A humble appeal to doctors, refrain from unnecessary tests and prescribing medicines. Patient trust and humane service should be the biggest identity of the medical profession.
Because, medicine is not a business, it is the biggest human responsibility associated with human life.
