Number of students in kindergarten schools in Joypurhat city increasing day by day

04 July 26 The number of students in kindergarten schools in the city of Joypurhat district is increasing day by day. Many parents in the village are also enrolling their children in different schools in the city in the hope of better education. As a result, classrooms in many schools are becoming crowded with students. As competition is increasing, so is the pressure on children to study. Children and parents are seen busy in various kindergarten schools in the city of Joypurhat’s five upazilas early in the morning. Many parents from far and wide are bringing their children to city schools. The trend of admission is increasing day by day in the hope of good education and acquiring skills through English.

According to the Kindergarten Association, there are currently more than 60,000 kindergarten schools in the country, where crores of children are studying. However, since most of the schools are privately run, there is also pressure of competition along with education.

Md. Sajal Hossain of Nurnagar village of Tilakpur union of Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat said, I am trying to get my son admitted to a city school in the hope of good education.

Sunshine Kindergarten and High School Bairagirhat Joypurhat Kalai Upazila Headmaster said, it is more important to teach children at the right time and in the right way than to teach them quickly. Excessive pressure can have a negative impact on the mental and physical development of children. Therefore, the learning environment must be joyful and child-friendly.

Md. Mizanur Rahman, Headmaster of Tilakpur Ideal Darun Hikma Madrasa of Akkelpur upazila of Joypurhat, said, many parents from far and wide are bringing their children to the school of Tilakpur union of Akkelpur upazila. The number is increasing day by day in the hope of good education and acquiring skills through English.

Md. Shakilul Islam Shakil, General Secretary of Bangladesh Kindergarten Association, District Branch, Joypurhat, told Daily Present Time, that kindergartens should not only be places of exam pressure, but also areas of creativity, joy and mental development of children.

Kindergarten schools should teach according to the prescribed policies and ensure quality education for students.

Md. Jeder Ali, District Primary Education Officer, Joypurhat, District Primary Education Officer told Daily Present Time that the registration process has been strengthened to make kindergarten education more systematic and standardized. Initial permission has been given to 14 kindergarten schools in the district this year. After phased verification, these institutions will be brought under registration.

The government’s goal is that kindergarten schools should teach according to the prescribed policies and ensure quality education for students. For this, regular monitoring and evaluation activities are also ongoing.

The foundation of a nation’s development is built through its children. Therefore, it is the expectation of parents and concerned parties that kindergartens should not only be places of exam pressure, but also areas of creativity, joy, and mental development for children.
