Two construction workers have died after falling from an under-construction multi-storey building in Mymensingh.

The incident took place in the city’s College Road area around 5 pm on Wednesday (June 17), but the building authorities were desperate to cover up the matter. When the matter came to light at night, there was intense anger and criticism.
One of the two deceased is Masud Rana (30). He is a resident of Chapainawabganj. The police are trying to identify the other.
According to police and local sources, they were living in Mymensingh city due to construction work. In the afternoon, some workers were working on installing the sheeting of a multi-storey building in the College Road area. At that time, the two workers fell from the eighth floor. At that time, locals rescued them and took them to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared them dead.
In this regard, the building owner Md. Belal said, “The contractor has been given the necessary materials for the construction of the building. He is the one who brought the workers. I have no negligence in this incident.” In this regard, Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Shibirul Islam said, “Upon receiving the information, the police have visited the scene. The body is in the hospital morgue. Legal action is being taken in this incident.” ###
