Md. Milan Raihan,Joypurhat Correspondent : On 17 June 26 a day-long ‘job fair’ has been held in Joypurhat with the aim of creating employment opportunities for the youth. The day-long fair was organized at the municipal community center on Wednesday under the Recovery and Advancement of Informal Sector Employment project.
By directly participating in this job fair, 40 qualified candidates immediately got their desired jobs in various organizations.
The event, organized by Joypurhat Rural Development Movement (JRDM) and in collaboration with Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF),
Joypurhat District Commissioner Al-Mamun Mia spoke as the chief guest, presided over by JRDM Executive Director Razia Sultana.
Special guests included Deputy Director of Joypurhat Youth Development Department Makshudul Kabir, Assistant Director of Employment and Manpower Office (Acting) Mosharraf Hossain, Director of JRDM Shawkat Ali, Human Resources Department Officer Shahin Reza, and others.
Speakers at the event said that in the current competitive market, such a job fair is a great opportunity for unemployed youth. Through this, a direct bridge is created between the recruiting organizations and job seekers. The organizers see the immediate employment of 40 young men and women who came to the fair as a great success and expressed their determination to continue this trend in the future.
Several renowned local and national organizations participated in the fair, and a large number of job seekers submitted their resumes.
