Recovery of Arms and Drugs: 6 Police Officers, Including Jorarganj Police Station OC, to Receive DIG Commendation Medal

​Mirsarai Correspondent : Six police officers, including Mohammed Abdul Halim, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jorarganj Police Station, are set to receive the Chittagong Range DIG Commendation Medal. The accolade recognizes their outstanding and exemplary success in recovering illegal weapons, drugs, and apprehending high-profile suspects.
​The list of awardees was officially released through a government letter on June 10, signed by Nazmul Hasan (PPM), Additional DIG (Crime Management) of the Chittagong Range DIG Office.
​According to sources, the commendation certificates will be formally handed over to the nominated police officers today, June 11, at 3:00 PM during a special ceremony at the conference room of the Chittagong Range Office.
​The honored officers from Jorarganj Police Station are:
​Mohammed Abdul Halim – Officer-in-Charge (OC), Jorarganj Police Station
​SI (Unarmed) Hannan Al Mamun
​SI (Unarmed) Liton Chandra Nath
​Constable/1833 Abdul Karim
​Constable/2723 Md. Atikur Rahman
​Constable/1861 Pintu Chandra Das
​The official letter states that a total of 20 police personnel across various districts under the Chittagong Range were selected for this honor in recognition of their exceptional contributions to maintaining law and order, as well as conducting successful anti-drug and illegal arms recovery drives.
​Notably, Jorarganj Police Station secured the highest number of awards with six officers making the list—a major validation of the collective teamwork in maintaining local law and order.
​Expressing his gratitude on this achievement, Mohammed Abdul Halim, OC of Jorarganj Police Station, said:
​”This recognition further enhances our accountability toward our duties. Jorarganj Police remains fully committed to maintaining a stable law and order situation and building a drug- and terror-free society.
