This fair, jointly organized by the Pirojpur District Administration and Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Land Office and in collaboration with the Ministry of Land, will continue till 21 May 2026.

The Land Service Fair was inaugurated as a central program of the Ministry of Land by Tarique Rahman MP, Prime Minister of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

At the district level, the main program of the fair was attended by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Pirojpur Abu Sayeed as the chief guest. After the inauguration ceremony, the Deputy Commissioner Abu Sayeed inspected the various information and service stalls set up at the fair. During this time, he directly spoke to the common people visiting the stalls, listened to their problems and visited various aspects of modern digital land services.

Pirojpur Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Miss Israt Jahan, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Nasrin Jahan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Pirojpur Sadar Upazila Mamunur Rashid and Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Pirojpur Sadar Upazila S. M. Al-Amin. In addition, other officers of the Land and Sub-Registrar Department and students of various educational institutions participated in the program.
‎In his introductory speech to the students and the public attending the fair, UNO Mamunur Rashid of Pirojpur Sadar Upazila highlighted various modern digital media and legal processes of land services in very simple language. He said, from the time of birth of a person to the last moment of life and even after death, the right and touch of land remains in some way. Land is not only our asset, it is our passion, future dream, driving force of society formation and development.

He further said that the kind of suffering or complications of registration that the common people had to face in the past to get land services has been largely eliminated due to the various technological steps taken by the current government. The Ministry of Land is now working to ensure complete transparency. To prevent any kind of corruption, irregularities or harassment in land services, the government has a round-the-clock hotline number 16122 (16122). Any citizen can call this number from any part of the country to get information related to any land service and at the same time, if they are harassed by any official or middleman, they can also file a complaint directly. In his speech, UNO Mamunur Rashid discussed in detail the use of digital platforms for land services and their specific costs. He said that currently, citizens can apply for Khatian, Porcha or Registration from home through the official website of the Ministry of Land www.land.gov.bd or by using the specific mobile app ‘Land App’. After applying, citizens can pay the specified fee at home through Mobile Financial Services (MFS) such as Bikash, Rocket or Nagad. Not only that, if a citizen does not want to come to the office in person and wants to receive his desired Khatian or Parcha at his home, he can collect it by post at home by submitting the specified fee to the Postal Department (Courier/Post). In addition to increasing the transparency of government services, several informative stalls were set up in the fair premises to inform the public about the sub-registration process, collection of duplicate copies of documents and the activities of the Land Acquisition Branch. Notable among these were—Land Service Support Center, Pirojpur Sadar; Office of the Sadar Sub-Registrar, Pirojpur Sadar; Land Acquisition Branch and Record Room Branch (District Administrator’s Office); and Municipal and Union Land Offices. The e-nomination and parcel application process is being demonstrated live to all the general public present at this fair, which is being held from the 19th to the 21st, through a digital method, and a special documentary is being shown to raise awareness. On the occasion of the Bhumiseba Mela 2026, quiz competitions and prizes were distributed among students of various schools.
