The concerned Community Health Care Provider (CHCP) Nasima Akhter has claimed that the allegations of locking the Habaspur Community Clinic in Pangsha Upazila of Rajbari and various irregularities are completely false and baseless.
Recently, a video was published on a Facebook page called ‘Dainik Banglar Kantho’ alleging that the clinic is regularly closed and irregularities are taking place in healthcare activities. It has received various reactions from the general public.
However, protesting these allegations, Nasima Akhter said, “I have been regularly present at the clinic and performing my duties. On the day they made the video, I was performing my duties as a member of the medical team in the National University Honors 4th year examination held at Pangsha Women’s College. But a group is intentionally spreading false information against me.”
He further said that the clinic’s activities are being conducted as per the schedule and regular services are being provided to the patients. In addition, recently, measles vaccination activities are being conducted. That is why I also have to perform my duties in Habaspur Union. Also, if the clinic is temporarily closed for any reason, it is done by informing the concerned authorities.
Nasima Akhter claimed, “A group is spreading propaganda to tarnish my reputation. I strongly condemn and protest such false allegations.”
She urged the concerned to verify the correct information and publish the news.”
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Gias Uddin Khan said, “I have seen the video about Habaspur CC that was released on Facebook. The CHCP in charge of that CC was in the medical team that day. No CHCP has the right to close the community clinic for personal reasons and neglect his duties. If anyone has done such a thing, necessary action will be taken against him after investigation.”
