An inception workshop on “Assessment of Best Practices in Terms of Building Materials” was held at the LGED headquarters under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP), organized by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Center (CRILIC).
The session was chaired by Additional Chief Engineer and CRILIC Director Md. Azharul Islam, while Additional Chief Engineer Syeda Asma Khatun attended as the chief guest. She emphasized the urgent need for climate-resilient and high-quality construction materials to ensure sustainable infrastructure development.
Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam, Team Leader of EQMS Consulting Limited, presented key aspects of the assignment. Senior LGED officials, project directors, engineers, and experts from CRIMP-CRILIC were also present.
Participants expressed optimism that the initiative will promote the use of modern, eco-friendly building materials and support long-term climate resilience in infrastructure development.
