Jamaat to play strong opposition role in parliament to implement July’s public aspirations: Abdul Halim

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s Assistant Secretary General Maulana Abdul Halim said that the party is playing the role of a strong opposition party in parliament to implement July’s public aspirations in the interest of the country and will continue to do so in the future.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a responsible gathering organized at the district Jamaat office in Paharpur area of the city on Sunday (May 3) morning.
He said that the people of the country got a clear message from the opposition leader’s speech after the first session of parliament. Jamaat-e-Islami will play an active role in both parliament and the streets to fulfill the people’s expectations.
Demanding the implementation of the referendum verdict, Maulana Abdul Halim said that a systematic movement based on 11-party unity will continue for this purpose. He also warned that the party will take a critical stance against any anti-people move by the government.

He further said that to strengthen the organization, everyone should play a more responsible role in expanding the Dawah activities, building workers and improving the quality of manpower. He urged everyone to come forward with the mentality of sacrifice and sacrifice if necessary.

District Jamaat Ameer Principal Anisur Rahman presided over the rally, while District Jamaat Secretary Dr. Enamul Haque, Assistant Secretary Rajibur Rahman Palash and Saidul Islam Saikat and other leaders also spoke.
