‘World Intellectual Property Day-2026’ was celebrated at Noakhali University of Science and Technology (NSTU). On the occasion of the day, a rally and short discussion were held at Noakhali University today, Sunday (April 26, 2026). The university’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Rezwanul Haque, was present. The rally started at 11 am in front of the university’s administrative building with the theme ‘Intellectual Property and Sports; Get Ready, Start, Innovate’ and ended in front of the administrative building again after going around various roads.
In a short speech at the end of the rally, the university’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Mohammad Rezwanul Haque said that intellectual property protection is a very important issue in the current world. There is no alternative to intellectual property to ensure proper evaluation of research, innovation and creative work. We need to make our teachers and students aware of this issue, so that they can protect their innovations and thoughts. The university is the center of knowledge creation and innovation. Therefore, the knowledge gained from the research of the teachers and students of the university should be properly preserved and applied and used at the field level, so that it can play an important role in the overall development of the country.
The deans of various faculties of the university, directors of the institutes, chairmen of departments, teachers, students and officials were present at the rally, among others.
