The National Livestock Week and Exhibition 2025 was held in Barura, Comilla.
On Wednesday, November 26, the Barura Upazila Livestock Department organized a function at the Barura Shaheed Smriti Government College ground, with Barura Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Nasrin Sultana Tonu in the chair and Barura Upazila Executive Officer (U-E) Nu-Mong Marma Mong as the chief guest. Barura Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Ahsan Hafiz, Barura Upazila Health Complex Medical Officer Dr. Nuren Taskin Tuli, Barura Upazila Education Officer Md. Jahangir Alam, Barura Upazila Youth Development Officer Md. Borhan Uddin Bhuiyan, Barura Upazila Women Affairs Officer Afroza Begum, Upazila Ansar VDP Officer Nasima Akhter were present as special guests.
Barura Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Zahidul Islam spoke as the special guest on the day, while Md. Billal Hossain and Shafiqul Islam Manik spoke on behalf of the farmers.
On this day, farmers from different areas of Barura Upazila displayed various animals, birds, pigeons, roosters, goats, sheep, bulls, etc. at various animal stalls. At the end of the exhibition, certificates and honors were given to the three first, second and third place farmers. On this day, speakers informed the farmers about the free animal vaccination, medicine, vaccines, and training provided by the Barura Upazila Livestock Department.
