On 09/07/2025, a smart team led by SI (Retd)/Md. Kamruzzaman, ASI (Retd)/Ranjan Kumar Basu of District Intelligence Branch, Jessore, based on secret information, arrested Md. Shahidul Islam @ Shahid (42), a member of an inter-district motorcycle thief gang, while he was staying at the Palabari Bhaskarya intersection area under Kotwali Police Station of Jessore district for the purpose of buying and selling stolen motorcycles. According to the confession of the arrested accused, the said operation team conducted operations in different areas of Narail and Gopalganj districts and arrested a total of 06 (six) accused of the inter-district motorcycle thief gang and recovered 04 (four) motorcycles from the custody of the arrested accused. In this regard, ASI (Retd)/Ranjan Kumar Basu of DB filed a complaint as the plaintiff. When filed, the case number-36, date-10/07/2025, section-379/411/413 PC of Kotwali Model Police Station of Jessore district was registered. The arrested accused were handed over to the learned court on 10/07/2025. Out of the accused handed over to the learned court, 04 (four) accused gave their statements under section-164 of the IPC.
On the instructions of the Honorable Superintendent of Police of Jessore district, after reviewing the statements given by the accused, using reliable sources and modern information technology, the investigating officer of the case, SI (Retd)/Md. Kamruzzaman along with the officer-force conducted a drive in different areas of Kashiani, Mokshedpur and Gopalganj Sadar Police Stations of Gopalganj district on 11/09/2025 and 12/09/2025. Active members of the gang of thieves 1. Md. Hasanur Rahman (22), 2. Md. Mursalim (21), 3. Md. Azim Sikder (21), 4. Md. Tamim (24) were arrested. During this time, 02 Yamaha R15 motorcycles, 03 SUZUKI Gixxer motorcycles, 01 Pulsar motorcycle, 01 Yamaha FZ V-3 motorcycle, including a total of 07 (seven) stolen motorcycles were recovered and seized from the confessions and custody of the arrested accused.
So far, 10 (ten) active members of the inter-district motorcycle theft gang have been arrested in this case and a total of 11 (eleven) stolen motorcycles have been recovered.
The arrested accused were handed over to the learned court on 12/09/2025 AD.

3. Md. Azim Sikder(21), father-Enamul Sikder, mother-Ruma Begum, Sang-Sonakur, Gopalganj Municipality, Ward No. 14, Thana-Gopalganj Sadar, District-Gopalganj.
4. Md. Hasanur Rahman(22), father-Md. Mizanur Rahman, mother-Mosha: Saleha Begum, Sang-Batraidhoba, UP-Sajail, Ward No.-03, Thana-Kashiani, District-Gopalganj.
