The Center for Research, Development and Publications (CRDP) of International Standard University (ISU) has published two journals. Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan was present as the chief guest at a function organized on the occasion at the university’s Mohakhali campus on Monday.
Two issues titled “ISU Journal of Engineering and Technology (JET) and ISU Journal of Business and Development Studies (JBDS)” have been published. The first issue of JET and the first volume of the third issue of JBDS have been published.
ISU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan said, no university can progress without research and publication because research means the birth of knowledge. For this, university teachers must give importance to research and publication. They must also be proficient in linguistic skills. The respect of a university also depends on quality journals. Therefore, this university is working with the utmost importance on research. Good quality research not only enriches and develops the country, nation and society, but also enriches the knowledge, hard work and qualifications of a teacher and takes his career and achievements to a higher level. To increase the skills of teachers, they must read, write more, identify problems and do something new by highlighting it through research, which will play a positive role in social change and modernization.
CRDP Director Md. Mahbubur Rahman said that these research journals will play an important role in the university’s ranking. It is worth noting that the Digital Object Identification (DOI) of all the articles has been obtained and the work of Scopus index is underway.
The speakers present said that this journal will be helpful for students. Those who are in Bangladesh and outside Bangladesh will be able to read this journal online. With the overall cooperation of everyone, this trend of publishing ISU journals will continue in the future.
The event was presided over by Mahbubur Rahman, Director of the Center for Research, Development and Publications (CRDP), and was attended by ISU Treasurer Professor H. T. M. Quader Newaz, Dean of the Faculty of Business Education Professor Dr. Manjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Md. Abul Kashem, Director of IQAC Professor Dr. Md. Ekramul Haque, Chairperson of the Department of Textile Engineering Professor Eng. Abdul Based Mia. In addition, chairpersons of various programs, teachers, students and administrative officials were also present.
