Afzal Hossain, spoke under the chairmanship of District Nazir Tofail Hossain, Convener of Bangladesh Judicial Employees Association Dinajpur District Branch. Nazir Ramzan Ali read out the concept paper of the central program by raising the demands in the human chain on the occasion of the strike. They said that there should be a separate secretariat under the Supreme Court for the judiciary and that the auxiliary officers and employees of the subordinate courts and tribunals should be paid salaries and allowances in the light of the Bangladesh Judicial Service salary scale as auxiliary officers and employees of the judiciary. Independent appointment rules should be formulated for the appointment of auxiliary officers and employees of subordinate courts and tribunals under the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission, abolishing the existing block posts and creating new posts suitable for the times, and providing opportunities for promotion on the basis of merit and seniority. I strongly demand the government to immediately implement these two demands, which are the appropriate demands of the subordinate court employees, and to eliminate the long-standing discrimination.
