A 7 feet long python snake was caught in a net in the house of KM Ahsan Kabir of Bara Dhamai village of East Juri union in Juri upazila of Moulvibazar. Last Friday (29/September) night, Ahsan Kabir informed the local forest officials without killing the snake. After receiving the information, the environmental workers contacted the people of the local forest department and went there at 9 pm and rescued the snake. Later the snake was released in a safe place in the Lathitila reserve forest. A 7 feet long python was rescued and released. Khorshed Alam, a member of the local Patharia wildlife conservation team, said that suddenly at night AKM Ahsan Kabir of Bara Dhamai village called and said that a snake was stuck in his net. I took the local forest department people with me and rescued the snake and released it in the Patharia reserve forest.

Juri Range Officer Nazmul Hussain said, first we got the news about the snake caught in the net through the Patharia wildlife conservation team members. After this, the snake was rescued with the help of the Patharia Wildlife Conservation Team and the Forest Department and released with the help of Lathitila bit sticks. We are always ready at any time to protect forest and wildlife.
