The 45th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Volunteer Party was celebrated in Pirojpur with various events. On the occasion of the day, a colorful procession started from the district stadium at 12 noon today, Tuesday, and after parading various roads of the city, it met for a short road meeting at the Town Club ground. Later, tree plantation and cleanliness activities were conducted at the district hospital.
District Volunteer Party Convener Moniruzzaman Moni presided over the short discussion meeting at Pirojpur Town Club ground and Member Secretary Md. Tahidul Islam moderated it. District Joint Convener Nadim Sheikh and other leaders also spoke at the meeting.
At that time, the speakers said that even during the misrule of the Awami League government, BNP leaders and activists were active on the streets in the struggle to establish democracy and people’s rights. Propaganda is being spread against Tarique Rahman through political vendetta. Every leader and activist of the Volunteer Party must be ready against the deterioration of law and order and anti-sovereignty conspiracy across the country.
At the event, speakers highlighted the role of the volunteer group in patriotism, protecting democracy, and establishing human rights, and pledged to further accelerate the organization’s activities in the future.
