42 percent of Saudi’s total population are expatriates

The current population of Saudi Arabia has increased to more than 32 million. The population statistics authority of the country reported this information on Wednesday based on the 2022 census.
According to the data, 58.4 percent of the Saudi population or 18.8 million people are citizens of the country by birth.  The remaining 1 crore 34 lakh are from different countries of the world, which is 41.6 percent of the total population.
According to the census, the current average age of people in Saudi Arabia is 29 years.  63 percent of the country’s citizens are under the age of 30.
 According to the Statistics Authority, 61 percent (1.97 million) of the total population of Saudi Arabia are men.  And the number of women is 1 crore 25 lakh, which is 39 percent of the total population.
 Regarding the census, Saudi Minister of Finance and Planning and Chairman of the General Authority for Statistics, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, said that the 2022 census is an important national project. The result will be planning and decision-making, development of economic and social policies, development plans for various sectors.
