Nasreen Nabi Pilot Girls High School of Brahmanbaria’s Akhaura Municipality has taken various steps to encourage students. These include distribution of new shoes to students, provision of school dresses to poor students, gift of clothes to outgoing students and cash prizes to those who get GPA-Five in SSC examination. As part of this program, 266 people including 6th standard students and scout and parade team members were given new shoes (white Keds) on Wednesday morning. These shoes are purchased with the school’s own funding. School Management Committee President and Akhaura Municipality Mayor Takzil Khalifa Kajal attended and handed over the shoes to the students. Students express their joy after getting new shoes.
At the distribution ceremony, the president of the school management committee and the mayor of Akhaura municipality, Takzil Khalifa Kajal said that the parents of many students are poor. That is why they cannot afford to buy new shoes for their children on time. That is why the managing committee of the school has decided that the school authorities will take responsibility for all the students who will be newly admitted in the 6th class. We started with shoes first. Not only those who cannot make school dresses due to lack of money. If these students apply to the head teacher, the school authority will arrange school dress. Besides, clothes will be given to the SSC graduating students of this school. Cash prize will be awarded to those who obtained GPA-Five in SSC examination.
Debbrat Banik, head teacher of the school, senior teacher Maulana Abdur Razzak, Syed Mozammel, Rana Bhuya, Safia Khatun, Deepa Banik, Liza Akhtar and other teachers were present at the time.
