2 miscreants detained for attacking journalist in Akhaura

Police have arrested two miscreants in the attack on a journalist in Akhaura, Brahmanbaria. The two arrested miscreants are Mahafuz Mia (70) and Suman (29). They are about father and son. Meanwhile, the police took a case under the Speedy Trial Act in the incident of the attack on the journalist. It is to be noted that on Friday (28) evening at The Comfort Diagnostic Center, when a female employee sought a doctor’s visit, Suman assaulted her. Later 20/25 youths organized under the leadership of Suman came to pick up the woman employee. On receiving the news, the Brahmanbaria district representative of Kaler Kantha and the vice-president of Brahmanbaria Journalists Union. Journalist Biswajit Pal Babu rushed and attacked him when he stopped him. When the police rushed to the spot after receiving the information, they were quickly arrested. Later, the police conducted an overnight raid and arrested the two masterminds of the incident. In this regard, Akhaura Police Inspector (OC) Md. Asadul Islam said that arrangements have been made to send the arrested cases to the court.
