2 people died in a clash between two sides over land possession in Jalgao village of Bhavanipur union of Comilla’s Barura upazila on Friday 01-09-2023. 4 others were injured in the incident . A group of 8/10 people including Zainal , Mosharraf and Zainal , Mosharraf , along with his neighbor killed Khorshed Alam , a local resident , Md . Mustafa , pulled down a tractor to cultivate his land near the house of Yunus member in the western neighborhood of Jalgao village in Barura . At that time , Abdus Satta , the husband of Mustafa’s sister , had a dispute with the opponent when he stopped the opponent . At that time there was a big fight with the opponent with Abdus Sattar . A total of 4 people including Khorshed Alam ( 32 ) Abdus Sattar ( 55 ) were seriously injured in the encounter , Khorshed Alam and Abdus Sattar died on the way to the hospital . According to local sources , the seriously injured Zainal , Musharraf and 4 others are undergoing treatment at Comilla Medical College Hospital and Sadar Hospital . In this regard , local UP chairman Md. Khalilur Rahman said, this incident occurred due to a land dispute around 9/10 am on Friday , the administration is investigating the incident . Meanwhile, the officer- in – charge of Barura police station Md Feroz Hossain confirmed the death of the two . He also said , I have heard that there is a land dispute and litigation going on between them for a long time. 1 person involved in the incident has been arrested. He said his identity is not being released at this time for the sake of the investigation.
