Yesterday on 02 August 2023 AD at approximately 17:25 hours, a raiding team of RAB-10 conducted an operation in Pubali area under Jatrabari police station of the capital Dhaka and arrested 02 fake currency suppliers with fake notes worth 32,000/- (thirty two thousand). Name of arrested persons 1. Md. Suman Sikder (26), father- Khalilur Rahman Sikder, Sang- Madhya Faridpur Munsibari, Thana-Bakerganj, District- Barisal and 2. Md. Noman Islam (26), Father- Deceased Tota Mia, Sang- Paschim Bhatshala, Thana- Bakerganj, District- Barisal. During this time, 29 fake notes of Rs. 1,000/-, 06 fake notes of Rs. 500/- and 02 mobile phones were recovered from them.
Preliminary investigation revealed that they had been cheating common people by supplying fake money in various busy areas including Dakshin Jatrabari for quite some time.
A regular case has been registered against the arrested persons in the concerned police station.
