Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed MP said that the people of the world are surprised to see the unprecedented development of Bangladesh. The Awami League government believes in actions and not words. He said all this at the inauguration ceremony of rural road development Herringbone Bond project in Saptibari Bisik area of Aditmari Upazila of Lalmonirhat on Friday (February 17) evening. The social welfare minister said that the government has started the construction of the left bank dam as promised by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to reduce the suffering of the people of Tistapar. Government has implemented what is required. Social Welfare Minister Nuruzzaman Ahmed said that allowances for the elderly, widows and disabled persons have also been given 100% through the social security scheme. Considering the needs of the farmers, the government has made fertilizers, seeds and pesticides within reach. During BNP Jamaat, agricultural production was disrupted due to lack of fertilizer and electricity. Farmers had to sacrifice their lives for electricity and fertilizer. The Awami League government has delivered electricity to every house after coming to power. Farmers don’t even have to stand in queues for fertiliser. District Commissioner Mohammad Ullah, Aditmari Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) GR Sarwar, Upazila Awami League President Mohammad Ali, Secretary Rafiqul Alam, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mofizul Islam, Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Moktarul Islam, Zilla Parishad member Mansoor Ali, Saptibari UP Chairman Abdus Sohrab, Durgapur UP Chairman Asaduzzaman Nannu etc. The Social Welfare Minister is going on a one-day visit to his constituency Kaliganj Aditmari on Friday morning. At this time, he participated in the vegetable cold storage of farmers, handing over the keys of Bir Nibas, distribution of branches to educational institutions. Later that night, the minister left Lalmonirhat for Dhaka.
