Victoria students want a free campus free of politics, terrorism and corruption

The students held a press conference asking for a Victoria College free from politics, terrorism and corruption. They organized the anti-discrimination student movement banner at the Comilla Press Club auditorium on Saturday evening.

Maksuda Akhter, a second year student of the history department, said in a written statement, the recently resigned principal of the college, Professor Dr. Abu Zafar Khan and some teachers embezzled crores of rupees from the college. 4 teachers and 3 employees are accused of embezzlement of Tk 13 crore. ACC investigation is ongoing on this matter.

About 85 percent of the college teachers have welcomed the resignation of these corrupt education cadres. At the same time, the pro-dictatorship teacher council was disbanded.
