Touhid Hossain Sorkar: Comilla Victoria Government College Journalists’ Association (KUVICSAS) has become a palabadal. On Tuesday (November 5), the 11-member committee including President Saiful Islam Sumon and General Secretary Abdullah Al Maruf announced the composition of the 16th meeting of the Executive Committee. According to section-4, sub-section-e of the constitution, based on the opinion of the members of the jury board and the members present, to announce the committee of 11 members for the year 2024-25. This matter has been informed in a circular addressed to the chief advisor of the organization, Professor Anwar Hossain, former president Abu Sufian and general secretary Safayet Ullah Miazi. The notification informed that the Executive Committee of Comilla Victoria College Journalists Association (KUVIKSAS)-2024-25 has been constituted. According to sub-clause (e) of Article-4 of the constitution of the organization, the following 11 members have been approved for the year 2024-25 with the consent of the jury board members and the members present. President of the organization Saiful Islam Sumon (Weekly Amod), Vice-President Saimum Islam Opi (Dainik Comilla Paper), General Secretary Abdullah Al Maruf (Bangla Tribune), Joint-General Secretary Sajib Mahmud (Dainik Rupsi Bangla), Organizing Secretary Maqchudur Rahman (Akash TV), Publicity and Publication Editor Al Amin Kibria (Daily Title), Office Hasibul Islam Sajib (Morning Title), Finance Editor Md. Rakib Hossain (Samatat TV). Executive member Khalilur Rahman, member Yasmin Akhter Mim, member Md. Tamim Hossain. Newly elected President Saiful Islam Sumon and General Secretary Abdullah Al Maruf said, ‘I will work to continue the role played by Comilla Victoria College Journalists’ Association to maintain the glorious history of Victoria College. I expect the cooperation of the teachers, students and officials of the college. Along with that, we hope that all the members of the journalist association will continue to give their best support. Incidentally, Kuviksas was established on March 20, 2016. Kuviksas is run from the office on the ground floor of the administrative building of the degree wing of the college under the slogan of ‘Creating Conscientious Journalists’. The college principal and vice-principal are patrons of this organization. Two Education Officers selected by the Principal serve as advisors to Kuviksas.
