Miscreants have broken the memorial plaque of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Patuakhali. Miscreants vandalized Bangabandhu’s memorial plaque at Mujib Chattar adjacent to the municipal girls’ school late on Sunday night. The matter came to light in the afternoon. In protest against this, municipal and upazila Awami League held a protest march and rally in the presence of Ziaul Haque Jewel, Joint General Secretary of District Awami League. Joint General Secretary of District Awami League and Mayor of Baufal Municipality Ziaul Haque Jewell said that in 2019, I inaugurated Mujib Chatwar in Ward No. 4 of the municipality. The miscreants broke the memorial plaque of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman late last night. Bangabandhu cannot be erased by doing this. Officer-in-charge of Baufal police station OC Al-Mamun said that the culprits will be brought under the law after a quick investigation.
