The anti-discrimination student movement has given an ultimatum to President Md. Sahabuddin to dissolve the current National Parliament by 3 pm on Tuesday (August 6).

Movement coordinator Nahid Islam announced this in a video message on Tuesday. He said, we can see that the President said yesterday Monday (August 5) that the National Parliament will be dissolved immediately. But we still see a coup d’état still in place. Therefore, we declare that the dissolution of this national parliament must be announced by 3 pm. If this announcement is not made by 3 o’clock, we will be forced to give a strict program.

Earlier on Monday night at 11:20 PM, the President said in his address to the nation that the current Parliament will be dissolved as soon as possible.

The President said that the interim government will be formed as soon as possible.

Earlier, President Md Sahabuddin held a meeting with army chief, navy chief and air force chief and leaders of various political parties and representatives of civil society to form an interim government in the aftermath of the quota movement.

The meeting unanimously decided to release BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia immediately.

At the same time, it was decided to release all the prisoners detained in the anti-discrimination movement and recently in various cases. Consensus was also established in the meeting that the community should not be destroyed in any way.

Meanwhile, Nobel laureate Dr. The coordinators of the anti-discrimination student movement announced the outline of the interim government with Muhammad Yunus as the chief adviser.

Nahid Islam, Asif Mahmud and Abu Bakr Majumdar, one of the coordinators of the student movement, gave this information in a video message at 4:30 am on Tuesday (August 6).

They said, we have spoken with Dr. Muhammad Yunus. He has agreed to take this responsibility on the call of the students. We want to see the formation of this government in the morning.

He also said that we will appeal to the President to form an interim government with Dr. Muhammad Yunus as the chief adviser.

Coordinators said, we will announce the names of the rest of the interim government in the morning. Until this government is formed, the liberation students will remain in the field.

Incidentally, Sheikh Hasina resigned and left the country due to the situation arising in the anti-diversity movement. He left for India in a military helicopter. The common people across the country rejoiced at the news.
