Two people died in separate incidents of lightning in Teknaf

Two people died due to lightning in Teknaf upazila under Cox’s Bazar district. Yesterday, Wednesday (May 24) at 11 o’clock in Teknaf’s Baharchhara Union’s Hazampara and Sagarpar areas, the deceased were farmer Rahmat Ullah (40), son of Hasampara Sona Ali of Ward No. 7 of Baharchhara Union, and Helal Uddin alias Dhailya, son of Nurul Islam of Bainna Para of Ward No. 5. 20). Chairman of Union Parishad of Baharchhara Amjad Hossain Khokon said that farmer Rahmat Ullah died due to lightning on his way home from Pan Baraj on Wednesday at 11 o’clock. On the other hand, the young man named Dhailya died due to lightning while catching fish fry in the sea. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Teknaf police station Md. Abdul Halim said that two people died due to lightning in Baharchhara Union of the upazila. Force has been sent to the spot.
