RAB-5 arrested a person named Abdur Razzak alias (Raju) with a foreign pistol in a passenger van in Gomstapur of Chapainawabganj district. He also admitted during interrogation that he was involved in drug trade. On Tuesday (February 14) afternoon, he was arrested with illegal weapons in front of Chunnu tea shop while traveling in a van towards Belalbazar and Golapbazar of Chaudala UP of Gomstapur Upazila. Abdur Razzak (Raju) (26), son of Yusuf Ali and Shahinur of Suranpur village of Bholahat Upazila, was arrested in a raid led by Company Commander Lt. Commander Ruh-fi-Tahmin Taukir and Company Deputy Commander Assistant Superintendent of Police Aminul Islam.
In this regard, RAB-5 CPC-1 Chapainawabganj camp press release informed that RAB-5 confirmed the truth of secret information and found out that Sonamsjid was collecting illegal weapons from land port area and carrying them to Rahanpur area. He was arrested along with 02 foreign pistols, 08 rounds and 04 magazines. He said that a case is under process at Gomstapur police station of Chapainawabganj district regarding the recovery of this weapon.
