The two-day fair was inaugurated by the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner Sultana Akhter, on Wednesday (May 14) at 10 am at the premises of the Officers Club in Rajbari by cutting the ribbon and releasing balloons. Superintendent of Police Md. Kamrul Islam was present as the special guest. Representatives of the Rajbari Civil Surgeon, representatives of the Education Officer and others were present at the event.

Then, the guests addressed a discussion meeting chaired by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Shankar Chandra Vaidya. The speakers highlighted the importance of science.

Students from educational institutions in the district and upazila showcased their scientific and technological activities at the science fair stalls.

Organized by the Rajbari District Administration and supervised by the National Science and Technology Museum, and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the two-day science fair was one of the main attractions of the two-day science fair. The students who came to the science fair gained knowledge by seeing the science topics in the mobile science exhibition vehicles.

In this regard, student Alamin said, “We saw the topics we read in science books with our own eyes in the mobile vehicle. This made the subject even easier for us and we enjoyed seeing the topics. It was very nice.”

The 46th National Science and Technology Week and Science Fair will conclude tomorrow, May 15, with Olympiads, seminars, quizzes, and prize distribution.
