Martyrs’ Day and International Mother Language Day were celebrated at Trishal in Mymensingh.
On February 21 at 12:01 PM, Member of National Parliament and President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Religious Affairs, Alhaj Hafez Maulana Ruhul Amin Madani, placed floral wreaths at the Shaheed Bedi constructed at the local government Nazrul College.
Later Trishal Upazila Parishad Chairman Alhaj Abdul Matin Sarkar, Upazila Executive Officer Md Aktaruzzaman, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Hasan Abdullah Al Mahmud, Trishal Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Arit Sarkar, Trishal Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Main Uddin, Trishal Municipality Mayor Alhaj ABM Anishuzzaman Anish. President of Trishal Upazila Awami League Alhaj Abul Kalam Md. Shamsuddin, General Secretary Iqbal Hossain, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Md. Shahidullah, various political, social and cultural organizations including Jublig, Chhatralig, Shramiklig, Krishkalig presented wreaths.
A discussion meeting was held in Trishal Upazila Parishad hall room at noon. At this time prayers were held for the souls of language martyrs.
