It has been reported that top terrorist Subrata Bain and his associate Mullah Masud have been arrested from Kushtia. Locals said that the army conducted the operation. However, the army has not yet confirmed the arrest to the media.
Locals said that the army arrested them from a rented house in the Kalishankarpur Sonar Bangla Road area of ​​Kushtia city on Tuesday (May 27) early morning.
Local residents of the Kalishankarpur area said that two young men rented a house behind the house of the deceased Mir Mohiuddin in the Kalishankarpur Sonar Bangla Road area a month and a half ago. They lived on the ground floor of that house. Suddenly, in the early hours of the morning, they saw army members surrounding the house. After a while, they arrested the two and took them away in an army vehicle.
Some students live in a mess rented in that house. One of them said, “A black microbus arrived at around 8 am. Then the army members handcuffed a bearded man and tied up another young man and took him into the car. One of the army personnel said that Subrata Bain was arrested in the operation.
Additional Superintendent of Police of Kushtia District Police Faisal Mahmud told the media, “We did not have any operation here. I do not know whether any other force did it. We are trying to find out.”
When we tried to contact the officials of the Kushtia army camp in this regard, they did not say anything.
