A three-day land development fair has begun in Joypurhat with the theme ‘Pay regular land development tax, protect your land’. Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury inaugurated the fair by cutting the ribbon and releasing balloons at the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises at 10:30 am on Monday.
Earlier, a colorful rally was taken out from the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises. The rally circled the main road of the city and ended there again.
Later, Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Bipul Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sabur Ali, Additional Superintendent of Police Jinnat Al Mamun, District BNP Convener Golzar Hossain, Senior Joint Convener Masud Rana Pradhan, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Rashedul Islam, Sadar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Rajib Kumar Biswas, Revenue Deputy Collector Mizanur Rahman and others spoke at the seminar titled Land Service Automation: Existing Challenges and Roadmap for Overcoming.
This fair will continue till the 27th. Several stalls have been set up at the fair. Where all land-related information and services will be available for free.
