It can be seen from the land that there is a communication system highway from the upazila to the capital on the border of the Dakua Union Parishad No. 6 and Ramnabad river. Which has started to break due to the water pressure of the terrible Ramnabad river and the impact of small waves. At any moment, the roads will go under the river and thousands of villages will be submerged, people will lose their means of survival, besides, they will be lost forever in the river, the road communication system will be cut off, including the burial place of late journalist Altaf Mahmud, former secretary general of Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists. In the same way, people’s health risks will increase if patients from far away areas cannot go to the health center in the upazila. If the road is broken, the water of Ramnabad river can enter the entire union. In this regard, No. 6 Dakua UP Chairman Biswajit Roy said, on the instructions of Galachipa UNO Mahdo, 1000 geo bags have been ordered to be dropped in the damaged area. Accordingly, a quick program has been adopted. Md. Arif Hossain, executive engineer of Patuakhali district of Bangladesh Water Development Board, said on the phone, I have informed sub-divisional engineer Mahdoy, and requested to contact UNO Mahdoy of Galachipa upazila. Besides, Jio bags are provided by Water Development Board. Later this year, the program of construction of permanent barrage is being taken up at that place as soon as 250 meters through tender as per the rules. In this regard, the Upazila Executive Officer Mohiuddin Al-Helal said, I have visited the soil of the damaged area, the place is very dangerous and important place. The issue is being seriously discussed with the Water Development Board authorities. Besides, with the help of Water Development Board, 1000 geo bags have been arranged to prevent rapid breakdown and measures are being taken accordingly.
