Today 26 August 2024 Monday Md Rafi Hossain (14), father: Taher Moktar Hossain, who was shot dead in Dhaka’s Mirpur during the anti-discrimination student movement, was successfully shot at Dhaka CMH. He was shot in the right shoulder on July 19 and his right shoulder bone and artery were damaged. In view of this, he was operated on an emergency basis at the Heart Institute of Dhaka. After some complications occurred, he was brought to Dhaka CMH last night (25 August 2024) on the basis of the discussion between the doctors of Heart Institute and Dhaka CMH, and quickly, for 6 hours, the vascular team of CMH successfully propagated the arms by adding artificial blood vessels. At present, Md. Rafi Hossain (14) is out of danger.
Another Mirpur College student Md. Momin Hossain (23), father: Harun Mia was shot on July 19, 2024 and the bullet lodged behind his spine. Later he was admitted to Dhaka CMH on 20th August 2024 and underwent laparoscopy on 25th August 2024 to remove the bullet. At present, Md. Momin Hossain (23) is doing well.
