The anti-discrimination student protest march in Tangail has turned into a public mass. Thousands of students gathered in front of Tangail Press Club Chattar and Bindubasini Government Boys High School at 11 am on Saturday. Parents also joined them. Students started chanting slogans.

The coordinators of the march demanded justice for the killers of the students at the press club premises. Later, they marched to Nirala Junction and after circling the important roads of the city, they again gathered at the Press Club premises. Thousands of students and parents participated in the procession. They blocked the highway to make the non-cooperation movement successful.

A parent who came to the procession said, many parents including me have come to this procession to fulfill the logical demands of the children. We are also in the students’ movement. There is no time to remain silent.

Tangail Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime) said. Sharfuddin said that the police are performing their duties in a vigilant manner to provide security. Students are carrying out their program peacefully. Additional police are deployed at various important places in the city.
