Stakeholder meeting held in Kaptai Upazila organized by Chittagong Divisional Commissioner’s Office

Organized by the Chittagong Divisional Commissioner’s Office in collaboration with the Kaptai Upazila Administration, the meeting of stakeholders was held on Tuesday, May 20 at 12 noon in the conference room “Kinnari” of Kaptai Upazila Parishad. At the event, Additional Divisional Commissioner (Development) of Chittagong Division Sharmin Jahan said that the people are the source of all power. Therefore, the people have the right to get all information. If the right to know information is ensured, the constitutional right of freedom of thought, conscience and speech of the people will be established. The chairman said this in his speech at the meeting of stakeholders on grievance redressal management, service delivery commitment, Right to Information Act – 2009 and integrity strategy to ensure transparency, accountability and good governance of the administration to the people. The meeting was attended by heads of various government departments, public representatives, representatives of law enforcement agencies, teachers, headmen, journalists and people of various professions. During the event, moderated by Kaptai Upazila Executive Officer Md. Ruhul Amin, Senior Assistant Commissioner of Chittagong Divisional Commissioner’s Office Subrata Biswas Das presented an article on the Right to Information Act. At this time, journalists Mahfuz Alam and Kazi Mosharraf Hossain, Kaptai Upazila Assistant Information Officer Md. Delwar Hossain, Dr. Prabir Kheyang, Headman Thoai Aung Marma, and others spoke at the closing session of the meeting.
