Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club got their first victory in Dhaka Premier Cricket League (DPL) Super League after losing the first match. Sheikh Jamal beat Mohammedan by 85 runs in their second match in the Super League today. Sheikh Jamal lost 7 wickets to Gazi Group cricketers in their first match to win the title. Sheikh Jamal lost the toss and batted first in BKSP’s field number three. Jamal finished with 259 runs for 4 wickets in 47 overs. For the team, Fazle Mahmood scored an unbeaten 93 with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Besides, captain Nurul Hasan scored 70 runs and Saikat Ali scored 50 runs. The match was decided in 47 overs when rain fell in the middle of Sheikh Jamal’s innings. Mohammedan got a target of 277 runs to win the match in 47 overs. In response, the Mohammedan batsmen could not play a big innings in front of the brilliant bowling of Sheikh Jamal’s bowlers. Mohammedan was bowled out for 191 runs in 40.5 overs. Fazle was the man of the match. In this victory, Sheikh Jamal is in the second place of the table with 22 points in 13 matches. Mohammedan is in sixth place with 13 points from equal number of matches.
