Saudi Arabia is giving 66 million dollars in financial aid to the victims of the earthquake in Syria, Turkey.

The initiative to form this fund was taken from the office of the King of Saudi Arabia to help those affected by the earthquake.More than 700,000 Saudi citizens have donated money to this fund. So far, 250 million riyals (66.6 million US dollars) have been deposited in this fund.

 According to the information of the Saudi government, so far 7,9,775 Saudi citizens are donating all this money to help the people of the two countries affected by the earthquake.

Under the initiative of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Relief Center, the initiative to form this fund was taken from last Wednesday.

It should be noted that the number of dead in the terrible earthquake in Turkey-Syria is increasing day by day.  More than 34,000 people have died so far. Bodies are being recovered every moment. Many people are buried under the rubble.

Last Monday, Turkey and Syria were devastated by a magnitude 7.8 earthquake. The center of the earthquake was near the city of Gaziantep in Turkey, bordering Syria. Thousands of buildings collapsed in both countries.  Rescue workers from different countries including Bangladesh are making vigorous efforts to rescue those trapped under the rubble.
