After that, this house was abandoned for a long time. The government of Pakistan has built a public poultry farm in a large part of the country. This historical building has been demanding for a long time by various socio-cultural organizations and cultural activists, including Heritage Comilla, to free the poultry farm and convert it into a cultural complex. In this context, in 2014, when a report of Machranga Television was aired, it came to the attention of the authorities. At the initiative of the then Deputy Commissioner Tofazzal Hossain Miah, Hasanuzzaman Kallol, the Comilla District Administration freed a part of the house and renovated the poultry farm. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the reform work that year. Later, Deputy Commissioner Jahangir Alam and Deputy Commissioner Abul Fazal Mir started the Sachin Mela here.
