Rajbari Correspondent:
An organization named Success Freelancing IT BD has been accused of extorting a large sum of money in the name of freelancing training by showing temptation, and not only that, there are also allegations of women’s scams against the director of the organization. Videos and anti-social pictures of his women’s scams have gone viral on social media.
Saiful Islam Shimul had been running a company called Success Freelancing IT BD for a long time by renting the second floor of Rabeya Tower in Rajbari. Accused Saiful Islam Shimul is the son of Sohrab Mondal of Ramkantapur in Rajbari Sadar Upazila.
In this incident, a victim named Rakib Khan filed a written complaint against the owner of the establishment, Saiful Islam Shimul, at Rajbari Sadar Police Station on Saturday, May 31. At that time, about 25 victims came to the police station and shared their issues with the officer-in-charge of the police station. They shouted slogans and demanded justice for Saiful Islam Shimul.
Rakib Khan said, they admitted us by saying that they were going to do freelance training, but at that time they charged us 8,500 taka as admission fee, they did not give us any classes, they just said to form a team. If I admit 5 people through me, I will be given a PC as a gift, so they took 25,000 taka in cash. In this way, they took 25,000 taka from about 35 people. There are no classes in the name of classes, they pass the time by dancing, singing, chatting, going on tours, etc. in the institution. He also said, there are about two hundred victims in this institution who, like me, got admitted and did not take classes and got worried. We are only told to form a team and admit students. But how can we admit so many students, we are coming to learn freelancing. About 25-30 people came to the police station with us today to file a complaint, all the victims have the same complaint. We want a fair trial for this fraudster, we want our money back.
Victim Sadia Akhter Kona said, I got admitted because of the talk of digital marketing. A four-month course, a few days after I got admitted here, I was told to admit people to increase the team members. I would be given a PC. I told them that I have a PC and a laptop, but they pressured me to admit people, and if they wanted 25 thousand taka in cash for the PC (computer), I gave the money by mortgaging the gold chain around my neck. I was not even given a PC, nothing happens in the name of classes here. They often take money by saying they will eat at restaurants and go on tours. We have been completely cheated here. We want a fair trial from the administration.
In this regard, Rajbari Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mahmudur Rahman said, “The complaint will be investigated and legal action will be taken. No one, whoever the fraudster, will be spared.”
