The first meeting of the newly elected upazila chairmen was held in Rajapur of Jhalkathi. Newly elected Upazila Parishad Chairman Milan Mahmud Bachchu’s first official meeting turned into a mass of people. Thousands of people welcomed the newly elected Upazila Chairman Milan Mahmud Bachchu before the first monthly meeting on upazila development and upliftment of the 6th Upazila Parishad organized by the Upazila Procession started at 11 o’clock on Wednesday. The common people welcomed him by playing musical instruments and greeting him with flowers. At this time Milan Mahmud Bachchu was soaked in the love of thousands of people. After speaking at the Upazila Parishad Convention Center, he participated in the first monthly meeting on upazila development and upliftment and performed the duties of the president there. Acting Upazila Nirbahi Officer Hasan Mohammad Shoaib, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Masood Rana, newly elected Vice Chairman Abdullah Al Hasan Bappi Mridha and Female Vice Chairman Nasreen Akhtar were present.
