Since its inception, RAB has been playing a leading role in arresting all types of criminals and bringing them under the law to maintain the overall law and order situation of the country. Apart from this, prevention of fraud and fraud is an important and ongoing operation of RAB. This operation of RAB has been appreciated in all quarters of the country. In continuation of this, yesterday on February 16, 2023, an expeditionary team consisting of RAB’s Executive Magistrate Mr. Md. Mazharul Islam and RAB-10 completed mobile court activities in the Kotyali Police Station area of the capital Dhaka. Meanwhile, the mobile court fined a total of Tk 34,90,000/- (thirty four lakh ninety thousand) to 12 institutions for the crime of stockpiling and selling unauthorized illegal drugs in the Kotayali police station area of the capital Dhaka. Out of which All KC Drug – Tk 2,00,000/- (two lakh) in cash, Hajiganj Medicine Tk 2,00,000/- (two lakh) in cash, Chowdhury Pharmacy Tk 20,000/- (twenty thousand) in cash, 5,00,000/-(Five Lakhs) Cash to Gopal Geeta Pharmacy, 20,000/- (Twenty Thousand) Cash to Jagat Janani House, 1,00,000/- (One Lakh) Cash to Rafi Medicine Corner, Cash to Janseba Medicine Agency- Rs.10,00,000/- (Ten Lakhs), Cash to Cuff Medicine Hall- Rs.50,000/- (Fifty Thousand), Cash to M/s Ishbal Surgery- Rs.1,00,000/- (One Lakh) Rs., Dhaka Organic Lab Rs.1,00,000/- (One Lakh) Cash, Tamanna Drug Rs.2,00,000/- (Two Lakhs) and Madina Pharmacy Rs.10,00,000/- (Ten Lakhs) ) paid a fine of Rs. Besides, on the orders of the learned Executive Magistrate, the said mobile court sealed 08 drug godowns and destroyed illegal drugs worth about 2,00,000 (two lakhs) rupees. Preliminary investigation revealed that these unscrupulous traders had been stocking and selling unauthorized illegal medicines for quite some time.
